What is a community and what is the best way to foster one?

BANGKOK ART BOOK FAIR 2023 invites you to join the symposium under the theme ‘Homegrown Community’ on 30 November 2023 at Kingthong Ballroom, Asia Hotel Bangkok. Come meet speakers from various countries, backgrounds, cultures, and contexts who are going to present their methods in community fostering, and talk about their unique creative practices used to develop their community, from opening a co-learning space, hosting exhibitions, to writing, translating, and publishing.

This symposium is a part of BANGKOK ART BOOK FAIR 2023 ‘Homegrown Community’ which  welcomes readers and art lovers to celebrate the diversity of the publishing community, experience bookmaking with no boundaries, and meet various print media publishers, designers, artists, and collectives from around the world. It is a space where everyone comes to exchange ideas on how people from different communities and backgrounds utilize publication as a tool to convey their stories, agendas, and topics of interest, ranging from social, politics, self-healing, to the wonders of daily routine.
