E.R.A.S.E. of Irondequoit (Eliminating Racism
and Seeking Equity) supports the advancement of underrepresented ethnicities in
the arts and sciences. In an effort to encourage the pursuit of these fields
among young students of color, E.R.A.S.E is offering a Summer Camp Scholarship
for Irondequoit students in grades 4-6 in the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. There will be two scholarships available of $250
to be applied towards an arts or sciences related camp or summer learning
program.
Only programs in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math disciplines
or the application will be considered. Applying students must identify as
Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Indigenous/Alaska
Native, or Multi-Racial.
The scholarship recipients will be chosen on
the basis of their application essay, expressing their interest in learning and
the fields of arts and/or science and technology.
