The Exemplary Mother’s/Father’s Award recognizes those outstanding men and women whose
positive contributions to their families and community service have made a significant impact
on the lives of children and families within their respective communities.
 

CRITERIA

 Loves, nurtures, mothers/fathers their child/children whether he or she is a
biological/community/God/registered foster mother or father
 Promotes/supports children and the importance of family life
 Demonstrates an outstanding commitment to raising his/her children
 Demonstrates leadership qualities and brings families together in the time of disaster
 Contributes to the development and well-being of children within his or her community
 Is a positive and inspirational role model for motherhood/fatherhood within his/her
community
 

SUBMISSION NOTES

 Who can nominate someone? (1) Community Groups and Organizations, (2) Faith-
based Organizations and (3) Community institutions such as police and fire service,
schools, healthcare workers, banks, and (4) Individuals.
 All nominations should be submitted no later than April 3 rd , 2020.
 The Department of Community Development and Social Services reserves the right for
judging and selection of awardees. The decision of the judges will be final and non-appealable.
