At least 50 young women will win an opportunity of a lifetime! Step into the shoes of a member of the ACT Legislative Assembly and/or a member of Federal Parliament and take over their position for a day to a week.

During the takeover, you'll receive specialised leadership and professional training, meet powerful leaders, get your work published nationally, join an esteemed alumni network and make your voice heard to change the future of our nation!

To win a spot in Girls Takeover Parliament, entrants must be:
1. Female identifying individuals residing in Canberra, ACT (or surrounding region).
2. Participants must be between 14 and 24 years of age by October 8th 2019.
3. This competition is not open to anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
4. Participants must be available to attend both training weekends and takeover days.

PLEASE NOTE: While the majority of Girls Takeover Parliament is substituted by our partners, we do require participants to contribute $95. To keep costs down, participants will be required to bring their own snacks and lunches.

The program fee will be collected in two split payments with $50 downpayment to secure position and $45 before the second training weekend. You can pay in full if you wish.

5 fully paid scholarships are available.

Interstate applicants: We do accept interstate applicants. However, Jasiri will not cover the expenses applicable for travel, accommodation, food or any other costs incurred while travelling.
