USPTA Career and Leader MENTEE Application
The purpose of the USPTA Career and Leader Program is to help members develop relationships and attain skills beneficial toward advancing their careers. Each Mentee is paired with a Mentor for one year.

We applaud your interest in the USPTA Career and Leader Mentoring Program. The purpose of the program is to help members develop relationships and attain skills beneficial toward advancing their careers. Each Mentee is paired with a Mentor for a minimum of one year. Mentors and Mentees are encouraged to work together beyond one year if they so choose. If a Mentor or Mentee decides to seek a new program partner, they should reapply at that time. There is NO need to notify the USPTA if a mentoring relationship will extend beyond a year. Mentors and Mentees are eligible to participate in the program more than once. To be a Mentee, an applicant must be accepted into the program based on the criteria below:

A. Be a certified USPTA member and current with USPTA dues, education, and SafePlay requirements.

B. Be working in the tennis industry at least part-time.

C. Commit to actively participate in a structured mentoring process with one's Mentor that involves goal setting, action steps, and completion of progress forms, as requested.

D. Watch a required video on TennisResources.com by a specified deadline. ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE WATCHED THE REQUIRED VIDEO BY THE DEADLINE ARE ELIGIBLE TO BE PAIRED.

E. Communicate with one's Mentor at least once a month AND speak with one's Mentor within two weeks of the beginning of the program.

F. Commit to complete follow-up forms as provided by the Committee.

G. Participate in a short phone interview to gather more information, if needed.

NOTE: WHILE MENTORS AND MENTEES ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AT ANY TIME, PAIRINGS ONLY TAKE PLACE IN SUMMER AND FALL.
