The Council of British Exploring Society wishes to recognize the significant contribution of individuals who make the work of the Charity possible.  It does this through the award of a small number of Fellowships each year.

Any individual who meets the criteria set out in the Fellowship Policy may be considered for Fellowship if they have a nomination sponsor.  Criteria for selection are included in this form. The full Fellowship Policy including expectations of Fellows is available on request at membership@britishexploring.org

Nominations may be made by Council members, British Exploring Society Members, staff and volunteers, including Leaders, partner organisations or Young Explorers.  

Council members cannot be nominated to become a Fellow. Former Council Members may be nominated once a period of 12 months has elapsed since stepping down from Council.

This form should be completed and returned to membership@britishexploring.org. All nominations will be treated in strict confidence.  Please see our Data Privacy and Protection Policy statement below.

We will acknowledge receipt if you provide us with an email address to do so. BES Council will consider recommendations for the award of Fellowship made by the Fellowships Nominations panel.  The names of BES Fellows will be announced  by Council. Neither Council nor the Nominations Panel will enter into further correspondence about nominations.

Successful nominees will be contacted by British Exploring Society prior to any announcement about new BES Fellows.
 
An individual may be nominated more than once.

Nominations may be submitted at any point during the year.  British Exploring will alert stakeholders via its newsletter when the Fellowship Panel is next due to consider nominations.
