The mod team has decided to make a form to get a better understanding of peoples views on Backwards Compatible consoles in speedruns of Kingdom Hearts. The KH speedrun scene has been around for many years with many members joining and leaving, this commonly brings new opinions and views which can develop and change with time, so we would like to settle this debate and do whatever the community votes is best.


Merged: If merged wins a majority vote then all runs done on a Backwards Compatible PS3 or PS2 NTSC-J SCPH-5000 (Midnight Blue w/HDD) will no longer be hidden by default and will show in corellation with other PS2 times on the same leaderboard
+ Simplifies the filters on our page by using the tools on the site to filter consoles rather than using variables
+ Legal hardware
- Expensive & unreliable console
- Will seperate the competition by a large margian due to how different the load times are


Seperated: Similar to how KHFM works with PS3/4, BC PS3 or PS2 HDD will have its own dedicated Variable/Sub Category which will only have runners who use this hardware competing with eachover.
+ Keeps the games more competitive & accesible when competing for a top time
- Can deminish attention away from a runners on BC PS3 who may have outplayed WR on PS2
- Creates slightly more clutter to filters (https://prnt.sc/w5g35t)


Please read this before completing your form
- After you submit your form please message Saiyanz either on Twitter/Discord or Speedrun.com to verify that you submitted a form (this will prevent any fraudelent voting, if you do not message Saiyanz or respond after a follow up message your vote will be voided)
- Please only vote for games that you run, please leave others blank if you do not run them (If you for example run any of the KH1 Game Variants you can vote for all KH1 Games in this form, same applies for KH2)
- Only people who have ran the game can vote (This incldues any console variant of that respected game)
- Results will be posted but your submission will be kept anomynous
- Votes will end on the 29th of December, Results will be announced on the 1st of January via Speedrun.com & Twitter
