Fruit Box Contents and Growing Practices *

The focus of this CSA share is our diverse collection of apples and pears, although you may also receive a sampling of other fruits throughout the season. The exact varieties and amount of fruit in each box is variable and depends on harvest.

Please be aware that early season boxes may be lighter than later season boxes due to the majority of the harvest beginning later in the season.  We promise it will all even out in the end!

All fruit included in your boxes is grown in the orchard using only organically approved growing methods abstaining from the use of synthetic fertilizers and toxic chemical pesticides. Please note that while we do adhere to organic standards, we are not legally organic certified.  If you have any questions about our inputs or growing methods, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Program Dates
*
  • The first pick-up date is estimated to be in late early August.

  • Following your first pickup, you will return to pick up one fruit box each week for a total of 15 weeks.

  • You will get to choose to pick up your boxes on either Tuesdays or Saturdays in the following section.

  • The EXACT first pickup date will be determined by mother nature as we get closer to harvest season. We can't control the weather, but we can make a pretty good educated guess as to when the first fruits will be mature!

  • We will give you at least 1-2 weeks advance notice before your first pickup date.

  • Very occasionally we may need to skip a pickup due to weather or ripening, but we will let you know in advance and make up for it at the following pickup.

Please check the box below.

Rescheduling and Missed Pickups
*
Going on vacation?

No problem! We can hold your share until you get back, as long as you give us at least 48 hours notice.

Please note: If the items in your box are too perishable to save, you may miss out on those specific items.

Did something come up at the last minute and you can't make a pickup?

You are welcome to send a friend or neighbor to pick up for you!  If you don't have anyone to pick up your share, call or email us ASAP. If you contact us on or before the day of pickup, we can usually hold your box until your following pickup date as long as there is space in the walk-in cooler.

Whoops - did you completely forget your pickup?

It happens to the best of us!  If you  contact us later that same day, we will let you know if we were able to hold your share. Our official policy is that shares left at the end of pickup day will be donated, but sometimes we are able to make exceptions and hang onto your share for a few extra days. If you do not contact us on the day of your missed pickup, we cannot guarantee that your missed share was not donated.

Need to change your regular pickup day?

Let's say you signed up for Tuesdays, but have a schedule change and now Saturdays are better. No Problem! We are happy to change your regular pickup day, but please know that it is a hardship for us to switch back and forth regularly, so we try to limit the changing of pickup days to once per CSA season.

Shared Risk
*
By joining a Community Supported Agriculture Program (CSA) you are agreeing to share the risk of crop failure with us (the farm) and other participants. In the unlikely event of a crop failure, due to extreme weather, insects, or other production factors despite our best efforts, our procedure is as follows: If only a small portion of crops fail, we compensate for the failed crops by filling your share with other crops grown on the farm that are ready for harvest at that time. If a large portion of crops fail, we may not be able to deliver any product in some weeks.
