Technology Usage
I understand that technology at school, whether owned by the school or the student, is for schoolwork only.  I understand there will be no random web searches and no visiting sites that are inappropriate for school.
A Privilege, Not a Right
I understand that technology and internet access at school is a privilege, not a right, and if my student misuses this privilege, there will be consequences.  I understand that technology will not be used for offensive behavior towards others, including obscenities, viewing or sharing sexually explicit material, or expressions of bigotry, racism, or hate.  Cyber bullying will not be tolerated.

Consequences for Misuse
1st incident: technology item is taken, recognition of misbehavior written, item returned to student at end of day.
2nd incident: item is taken, referral written, parent will retrieve item after school hours.
3rd incident: item is taken, referral written, possible parent/teacher conference, student will not use that device at school for the remainder of the school year.
Liability
I understand that students bring their technology to school at their own risk. ACA II is not  liable for any stolen or damaged devices.

Cell Phone: I give my student permission to bring a cell phone to school.  I understand the phone must be turned off and kept in a backpack during school hours (8:15-3:00 Monday through Thursday, 8:15-2:00 Friday). I understand cell phones may only be used during school hours with teacher permission for music only. *
Tablet/eReader: I give my student permission to bring a tablet/eReader to school.  I understand it is only to be used during SSR time for reading literature or informational text or research with teacher permission. *
By typing in my name I understand that I am giving my Intermediate Student permission to use the above mentioned devices at school. *
