LIVE ONLINE ART DECO DESIGN & STYLE WITH KATHERINE ZORASTER
DATE: APRIL 16, 2020
TIME: 11AM-12PM

Art Deco was the exciting new international movement in decorative art and design that swept away the elaborate ornamentation of preceding centuries and replaced it with stunning simplicity of line. Previous ages had drawn inspiration from the past; this movement of the 1920s and 1930s was shaped by the present and the future. Art Deco was the embodiment of the steam age, the machine age and the automobile age.

This lecture will give a brief overview of the history of the style, its characteristic elements and how those traits are implemented in art, architecture and design.

Please enjoy our weekly free lecture series. Each lecture is available for the first 100 members!
