* This is the form to indicate your interest in being a panelist/featured guest for one of CMGG's industry events!

Throughout the school year, Cal Marginalized Genders in Gaming hosts virtual industry events: sessions where we invite gaming industry professionals to speak to and interact with our club. These events vary in format. They might include Q&A panels, networking roundtables, info sessions, themed topic discussions, and/or scheduled game-time with CMGG members.

To be a panelist/featured guest, we ask that you are currently a professional in the gaming industry (as opposed to a hobbyist or student). If you are contacted as a guest, we may also ask you to provide a short bio and headshot for the event.

Filling out this form is not a guarantee that you will be contacted to participate in an event. However, filling out this form during August-September (when CMGG plans events) increases your likelihood of being contacted.

Q&A Panel - Usually themed by company or job type. CMGG will share a list of panel questions for your approval.

Networking Roundtable - Students are split up into small groups and rotate so they can talk to all professionals.

Info Session - Usually themed by company or discipline. Conference-style presentation about your field, company, etc. to CMGG; requires preparation by the presenter(s) and approval of content by CMGG. (Note: we don't usually do explicitly recruitment-focused events in order to maintain neutrality and avoid sponsorship conflicts.)

Gametime with CMGG - Play games with CMGG members in our Discord server (we try to pick easily accessible/free games such as League of Legends, Jackbox, or Skribbl.io).
