Toronto Gingerbread Festival: Office Gingerbread Competition Sign-Up

This 2022 holiday season, the Yonge + St. Clair BIA invites your office to compete against other local offices in a holiday themed, gingerbread house decorating contest!

Compete for $500 in local prizes, Yonge + St. Clair neighbourhood retail credit and the Gingerbread Festival Trophy for your team!

FREE to all local offices to participate.

Whether you’re working from home or from the office, you are welcome to register your interest on behalf of your office by 12 Noon, Sunday December 11, 2022 using the form below.

+ Sign up to pick up a Gingerbread building kit for your team, FREE of charge.

+ Pick up your gingerbread kit from the Gingerbread Festival event site at 2 St. Clair West on Tuesday December 13, 2022. More details to follow upon sign-up.

+ Build and post your completed submissions no later than Wednesday Dec 21, 2022 to Instagram with #gingerbreadfestTO, tag @yongestclair and mention your company name, where you picked up your gingerbread kit, and any relevant descriptions, or send a photo in an email to info@yongestclair.ca with the above details.

Gingerbread Building Contest Rules:

+ All entries will be judged on five criteria: 1) Overall Appearance, 2) Originality and Creativity, 3) Difficulty 4) Precision and 5) Consistency of Theme. There is no overall theme for the competition.

+ Entry must utilize the gingerbread house provided, and be placed on a board base. Entries should not exceed the size of the board base provided or largest face of the container box provided.

+ Your entry must be composed completely of edible materials. (Edible materials are not limited to candies and icings etc.)

+ We ask that you adhere to the general form and construction of the provided gingerbread kit, although creativity with permitted materials is encouraged.

+ Limit one entry per office team, or one entry per registered office department within the same company.

+ The Yonge + St. Clair BIA reserves the right to refuse any entry deemed inappropriate

+ The registered competitor will receive all correspondence, notifications, and updates regarding the contest via email.

Information and Media Use Notice: By entering the contest, you allow the Yonge + St. Clair BIA to use submitted photos for public marketing and promotional purposes. Your contact information will only be for the purposes of contest communications and never shared with parties outside of the Yonge + St. Clair BIA.
