Program Volunteer Positions
Genderbands, an international 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that's mission is to help transgender people pay for transition-related costs, is looking for unpaid volunteers to serve as group facilitators and board members.

Since Genderbands's founding in 2015, we have awarded 6 trans-masculine top surgery grants (will award 11 in 2020) and given out dozens of free chest binders. We are excited to now be able to offer local support and social programming. To accomplish this, we need your help! We are looking for group facilitators and volunteers to help plan social activities.

Time commitments will be minimal. Facilitators will be in office one night a week for their group. Planning council will meet once a month for a planning meeting. For those facilitating the social activities, you will be part of the planning council as well. Some allowances can be made such as video meetings though we strongly encourage in person meetings. The Program Director will manage all the facilitators and lead groups, if needed. The Program Director will report bi-weekly to the Executive Director.

The only positions for individuals under 16 are planning council and social media team.

We are also looking for a couple new BOARD MEMBERS:
Time commitment is about 5-10 hrs a week. Some responsibilities include video conference meetings for board members, representing Genderbands at conferences and Pride events, leadership training, and completion of various assignments and responsibilities related to the position within the organization.

Genderbands operates out of central Utah, but since much of our work is done online, we will consider applicants from a broader geographical area.

Board members should be willing to make a 2 year commitment to Genderbands.
