Aloha FTC Team Leaders,
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DOCUMENT BEFORE COMPLETING THE FORM.
DEADLINE: League selection closes 11:59 PM, October 30, 2022.
League Meets are short, semi-formal competitions consisting of 5 robot matches per team. Meets usually conclude in 4 hours or less. Teams must compete in 2 league meets and accumulate a total of 10 scored matches to qualify for participation in the League Tournament in December.
To register a team for Hawai'i League meets, follow the steps below. If registering multiple teams, submit a separate form for each team.
STEP ONE: Recruit Two Capable VolunteersLeague Meets simply cannot operate without the support of volunteers. We need your help to identify and recruit parents, teachers, and others who will help us run the event. We ask each team to recruit two
willing volunteers to fill roles such as field set up, team check-in, hospitality, scorekeeper, team queuer, referee, etc. Although some volunteer roles can be done by anyone 16+ years old, we need adults to fill key roles such as referee. Therefore, we ask that at least one of your volunteers be an adult (18+).
Volunteers are expected to help at TWO League Meets which, usually, are the same events where your team is competing. Parents, teachers, and college students all make excellent volunteers. Please reach out to them. Finally, NEVER recommend a person unless he/she has wholeheartedly agreed to volunteer.
Note, a coach may not also serve as a volunteer.
Volunteers will receive instructions for signing up with FIRST.
You will receive your League Meets assignments as soon as your Volunteers have registered.
STEP TWO: Pay Hawai'i Registration Fee ($150 per team)UPDATE: You may skip this step. Hawai'i FIRST Robotics has waived local fees for the PowerPlay season.
STEP THREE: Complete the League Preference Form below
