CSA (community supported agriculture)                  MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Community Supported Agriculture is a crop share program where a box of vegetables is picked at our farm and set aside for you every week for 15 weeks during the growing season. Having committed members allows us to plan our crops, use sustainable practices to reduce waste, and provide vegetables at the peak of freshness. 2024 is our fifth year offering a CSA program at Keek-Oche / From the Earth Farm!

Use this membership application form to indicate your interest in becoming a member of our CSA farm-box program.  We will follow up with you by email to go over more logistics and details of the program.  

Please remember that membership is reserved on a first-come basis, and we have 50 memberships available for 2024. We will keep your information for our wait-list if spots become available.


There are 3 types of memberships available:
1. FULL SHARE / Great for families or couples who really enjoy eating vegetables! $150 in advance or a $20 deposit + $10/week in season. Full payment or deposit due by May 10th   (Average value is $20 of produce a week.)

2. HALF SHARE / Great for individuals, couples or smaller appetites! $75 in advance or a $10 deposit + $5/week in season. Full payment or deposit due by May 10th. (Average value is $10 of produce a week.)

3. WORKER SHARE / Trading time for veggies!!! In return for a Full Share CSA membership, you will help out at the farm for 2-4 hours per week, on Tuesday afternoons or Wednesday mornings to help pack the boxes for our members. There are 2 memberships available.

I/We agree to pay in INSTALLMENTS with a DEPOSIT by May 10th.

In order to keep the farm growing as efficiently as possible, we will continue having the CSA pick-up and farm stand at the farm!  Why you might ask???

- It's beautiful at the farm and we want to share it with you!
- The farm staff has more time to dedicate to tending to your produce by not having to transporting produce to an off-site location!
- Your produce will stay fresher since we will are able to keep it refrigerated.
- There will is less waste of produce that can be donated to the Elderly Center, Head Start, Ella Besaw and other community resources.
- We are planning a Food Hub & Market Building at the farm, which is where From the Earth's central location will be in the future.
PICK-UP LOCATION:
I agree to pick-up my CSA share at the From the Earth Farm @ N7534 Maple Road (south of Cty Rd A.)

SHARE PICK-UP:
I/We agree to pick up weekly shares during the growing season, during the designated pick up times. I understand that my share will be donated if I do not pick it up during the designated time or make alternative arrangements to pick up my share. I understand that the failure to miss 3 or more weekly pickups will result in my termination from the CSA program and will result in ineligibility from the next year's program.

(This policy is meant to keep communication open between CSA member and farm staff.  It simply helps us get the most food, into the most people's hands, the freshest it can be!)

SAVING ON PLASTIC:
I/We understand that it is my responsibility to bring a bag to put my produce in each week.

(An insulated bag will be provided for you the first week of CSA pick-up!)

I/We understand that produce availability varies throughout the season and can be impacted by weather, insects, and other unforeseen factors that may impact the produce available each week. *
CANCELLATION POLICY: 
The membership can be canceled by June 1st for a deposit refund by contacting Maria Duits, SMC Ag Manager. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations after June 1st.
