2022 Heartland Nature Celebration Registration
April 30th, 2022
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Heartland Overlook Preserve: 9106 Chestnut Ave, Kansas City, MO 64132

The Heartland Nature Celebration is an event that is part of the Greater Kansas City Metro Area City Nature Challenge. It is open to the public and will include environmental education opportunities and guided flora and fauna identification hikes. Every discovery made on the hikes will contribute to the greater Kansas City Metro Areas' City Nature Challenge effort. The City Nature Challenge  is a world-wide collaboration that offers an opportunity to connect with nature in the Kansas City Metropolitan Region.

Participants can come and go from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and explore the interactive environmental education booths led by HCA's partners. These fun experiences will feature the expertise from U.S. Fish and Wildlife, MoHives KC, KC Water and more.  Visitors will also be able to join one of the hikes, which will run every 30 minutes, and give you the opportunity to collect the valuable, scientific data for the City Nature Challenge. New to iNaturalist? We'll have someone on site ready to help you out.

Dress for the weather and wear shoes you are comfortable hiking in. Everyone is welcome, including your fluffy friends, to come and enjoy a day in nature!
