Contract management is essential to manage the various parties in construction projects and ensure successful completion. The aim of this course is to develop and strengthen the essential competencies and skills required to manage construction contracts.

The short course will be serviced by Dr A. Cadersa and Mr M. Doomah, who are both lecturers at the University of Mauritius in the Civil Engineering Department.

Learning outcomes

Upon completing this course successfully, participants will be able to:

Use the most suitable contract according to project requirements
Effectively implement the signed contract to achieve the employer’s requirements
Gain sufficient knowledge in the management of variations, payments, and claims
Application of contractual techniques in dealing with the risks involved in the projects
Understanding the importance of dispute resolution techniques
Effectively communicate with the parties on their contractual responsibilities
