Interest Survey for "The Works"

What:  “The Works” Is a project based self directed class that seeks to answer one big question about our city: “How the Heck Does this Thing Work?!”

Over the course of the year we will tackle three parts of our city's infrastructure.  Each unit will be chosen by the group and individual projects will be chosen one month into each unit of study.

We will visit sites, experts, exhibitions, elected officials, community advocates, and city planners each and every Friday.

Projects can be in any format- academic papers, journalism, graphic novels, rock operas or physically built science projects or models, etc. Regardless of format, we will incorporate a significant writing element to intentionally improve and strengthen our writing skills.

Students will leave with a portfolio of work and a recommendation usable for college and future employment.
