Nominate a High School Social Studies Teacher to the Hollyhock Humanities Fellowship
Any nominated candidates will receive a personal email from us celebrating their nomination and providing an invitation to apply!  The year-long program offers: 
  • Instruction by renowned historians: Eric Foner(Columbia), Yohuru Williams (University St. Thomas), Terry Anne Scott (Institute of Common Power)

  • Work on rigorous pedagogy in close reading and discourse.

  • Trips to cultural institutions (MCNY, NYHS, MOMA, Inside Out Tours, The Tenement Museum,etc.)

  • Supportive Coaching

  • A $3000 stipend, 75 CTLE Credits and up to 4 A+/P credits to accepted fellows.

Nominated teachers should meet these three criteria:
1. Teach High School social studies/ history
2. Have 3 or more years of teaching experience by summer 2024
3.  Preference given if they teach in a school where at least 50% or more of students are receiving free and reduced price lunch.

 Nominate as many teachers as you would like.  If a teacher you nominate applies, you will receive a Referral Bonus of a $25.00 gift card.
