WHAT: October 2021 Troop 1000 Wilderness Survival Campout

WHERE: Hickory Hills Hideaway

WHEN: All Scouts must arrive at Resurrection Lutheran Church by 6:00pm, Friday.
Departure Date: Friday, October 22 Time: 7:00 pm
Return Date: Sunday, October 24 Time: 12:00 pm

COSTS: Scouts - Food - $23 Gas - $12       Total - $35

Equipment required:
▪ Standard BSA backpacking equipment (See troop web site) and COLD WEATHER GEAR
▪ Day pack with Ten Essentials
▪ Sturdy, broken-in hiking boots or athletic shoes (no Crocs)
▪ Rain gear (no ponchos)
▪ Travel Uniform – Field Uniform (with neckerchief & troop hat)
▪ In camp Uniform – Activity Uniform (BSA T-shirts)
▪ 2 quarts of water
▪ Personal First Aid Kit
▪ BSA Handbook

Permission for Partial Participation
Policy:  To be allowed to have partial participation in T1000 events an individual must have prior approval.  All individuals (Scouts, Scouters, guests, and parents) who wish to partially participate in a troop event (non troop meeting, non family campout) must complete this form and submit to the Scoutmaster prior to the event. This is for those who do not plan to travel with the troop and includes other partial participation.  Special situations will be addressed by the Scoutmaster.

  1.  Prior approval, via this form, is required for all partial participation with T1000.  The form will be maintained by the Scoutmaster.
  2.  T1000 and BSA take no responsibility for travel not with the troop and no cost will be reimbursed for this travel.  Further T1000 and BSA take no responsibility for injuries, situations or actions that take place when away from the troop (partial participation situation).
  3.  All transportation when not traveling with the troop is the responsibility of the individual or his family.  Any travel with a non parent must be with parental approval and will not be policed by T1000 or BSA.
  4.  When joining or leaving an event in this situating the youth must check in/ out with the Troop Scribe, his Patrol Leader, the Senior Patrol Leader, and the Scoutmaster.
  5.    The responsible adult/parent/guardian must check in/out with the Scoutmaster in a similar manner as #4 above at which time responsibility shifts.
  6.  Payment of full event fees as if fully participating, is required.
