Balance gathers data and tells data-driven stories on leadership diversity of companies, movies, entertainment, sports, government and other entities, and the ideal candidate will be passionate about diversity, data and startups, nonprofits.
Internship Description:
The Content Writer is responsible for writing articles that incorporate diversity statistics and are in line with Balance Now's style guide and SEO specifications, as well as contributing to the peer-editing process. The ideal candidate must have a general understanding of informative, opinion, and persuasive writing styles at a college level or higher, the peer-editing process, Google Microsoft applications, and Wordpress. Additionally, you will be conducting interviews with experts.
Time Commitment:
We require 10-15 hours per week and a minimum commitment of 3 months with a weekly virtual meeting, 9:00am - 10:00 am (Pacific Time) on Wednesday's with the founders and 5-6 other meetings throughout the week with each team coordinator. Given that this is an unpaid internship, you would be provided with school credit, a letter of recommendation, references, networking and other career-growing assistance as needed.
