ริเวอร์ ซิตี้ แบงค็อก ร่วมกับสหภาพยุโรปในประเทศไทย ขอเชิญฟังบรรยายโดย Paolo Euron ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านสุนทรียศาสตร์ (Aesthetics) ในระดับปริญญาเอก จากมหาวิทยาลัยโบโลญญา ปัจจุบันเป็นผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ณ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย อาจารย์ Euron ได้รับตำแหน่งผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ทางสุนทรียศาสตร์จากกระทรวงอุดมศึกษาและการวิจัยจากประเทศอิตาลี นอกจากนี้ยังมีประสบการณ์การเขียนหนังสือและบทความด้านสุนทรียศาสตร์ ปรัชญา และวรรณคดีมากมาย

การบรรยายแบ่งเป็น 2 หัวข้อ คือ

Leonardo: Art, science, and the image of the modern human being ในวันศุกร์ที่ 23 สิงหาคม

เลโอนาร์โด ดาวินชี ได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็นหนึ่งในศิลปินผู้ยิ่งใหญ่แห่งอิตาเลียน เรอเนสซองส์ แต่แท้จริงแล้วเขาไม่ได้เป็นเพียงจิตรกร แต่ยังเป็นต้นแบบของปัญญาชนสมัยใหม่ ความคิดของเขามีอิทธิพลต่อวัฒนธรรมเป็นอย่างมาก ดาวินชีไม่ได้เข้ารับการศึกษาตามแบบแผน เขาจึงแตกต่างจากผู้ทรงความรู้ตามขนบ สามารถเปิดประตูไปสู่การทดลองใหม่ๆ และได้ฝึกฝนจากการปฏิบัติจริง

เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับขนบและสิ่งใหม่ๆ ในผลงานศิลปะของมิเคลันเจโล รวมถึงภูมิหลังด้านวัฒนธรรม และความคิดด้านการสร้างสรรค์ศิลปะ ผลงานของเขาสะท้อนถึงธรรมชาติ ศิลปะ และความสัมพันธ์กับผู้รู้แห่งยุคเรอเนสซองส์ในเมืองฟลอเรนซ์และวัฒนธรรมในขณะนั้น การบรรยายนี้จะชี้ให้เห็นว่ามิเคลันเจโลบรรลุถึงอุดมคติแห่งเรอเนสซองส์ได้อย่างไร และสิ่งนี้เปิดทางมาสู่ศิลปะลัทธิแมนเนอริสม์ (Mannerism) ได้อย่างไร

River City Bangkok in collaboration with the European Union in Thailand invite you to attend a special lecture by Prof. Paolo Euron with Ph.D. (Aesthetics) from the University of Bologna, and currently Assistant Professor at Chulalongkorn University. He received the qualification of Associate Professor of Aesthetics by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. He has published books and articles on aesthetics, philosophy and literature.

The conferences will present 2 topics as follows
Leonardo: Art, science, and the image of the modern human being on Friday, August 23 from 4 p.m. until 5.30 p.m.
Leonardo Da Vinci is generally considered among the greatest artists of the Italian Renaissance. Actually, he proved to be not just an artist but rather a prototype of the modern intellectual. Leonardo’s ideas have had a more profound effect on our culture than his most famous works. He defined himself as a “omo sanza lettere" – a man without formal education – in order to distinguish himself from the traditional scholar and to be open to experimentation and practical activity.

Art and nature in Michelangelo on Saturday, August 24 from 2 p.m. until 3.30 p.m.
Learn about tradition and innovation in Michelangelo’s art, his cultural background and his idea of artistic creation, his reflection on nature and art, his relationship with the intellectuals of the Renaissance in Florence and with the culture of his time, the Florentine Academy, and the Neo-Platonic tradition in the Renaissance society. This lecture will show how Michelangelo accomplished the ideal of Renaissance and, in doing so, how he foreshadowed the Mannerism.
These 2-day conferences in English will be hosted at RCB Forum on the 2nd floor.
