Group Member Expectations:

Some groups will have required materials. Materials can range from $0-$40 (with the exception of Financial Peace University – look at the description for those details).

Once you are registered, your group leader will contact you with location details and information on how to purchase your materials. We are always happy to help bear the burden if you are in need of some financial support. Just let your group leader know that you'd like the church to order your materials and we will take care of it for you!

Below is what we ask you to commit to during your time in your group:

❖ Pray for the group and for our church

❖ Be open and honest: Openness involves leaving appearances at the door and learning to be vulnerable about our struggles. There aren’t many contexts in our day to day lives where we can share about our journey with other Christian friends. We want groups to be Spirit-driven, and our behavior to be Christ led.

❖ Keep things confidential: What happens in my group stays in my group

❖ Be present : We ask all members to prioritize meeting times; to avoid missing group gatherings, unless emergencies come up. Presence is crucial in the process of building group intimacy, confession and accountability time, and a healthy balance of learning and community building.

❖ Listen : Let others share in an open environment, without offering unsolicited advice. Extroverts, please let others share! Introverts, please remember that the group needs to hear your perspective!

❖ Serve one another: Pray for each other, provide meals if someone is sick or experiences a loss, encourage one another, and be present for one another. This does two things: 1) teaches people how to care for one another in community and 2) communicates that our church values collaborative care and not a pastor-centric vision for caring for God’s people.
