NOTE: We need to get this money spent by December 31, 2022! So, get your applications in, the committee will review them, and then get your orders place quickly!
The Program:
You can apply for up to $500 in mini-grant funds to be spent in this semester.
We are trying to help our schools to meet their mission of serving students while the pandemic is making things more challenging. You can apply for funding to provide materials, services, or programs that will help to provide quality library service.
More detail, more specifics, more information from you will make your application stronger!
We are particularly interested in giving money to schools with a larger number of students receiving free and reduced lunches.
We will NOT consider applications that do not ask for a specific amount of money, and that does not give supporting details to justify that money.
CMLE will provide reimbursement, after you have expended funds. We need receipts, so please keep everything!
A committee will be reviewing grant applications monthly. We will notify you whether your application was funded, denied, or rolled to the next monthly consideration.
If funded, we will ask you to write up a short report about your project that we can publish on our website. We want to share good ideas and good programs (or mistakes to avoid!) across our community. We would definitely love to see photos of your materials/programs/services! (Please be sure you get permission from any people to be in the photo that will go onto our site.)
If you want to come back and fill out more details about your grant application, you can just add in a second form. We will merge your forms together, so all of your information is considered.
If you want to chat about some possibilities before you fill out your grant application, that would be fine. You can email us any time at
admin@cmle.org.
