Dear Petaluma community members,

The City of Petaluma has been awarded a CalRecycle grant to improve recycling in three main areas in Petaluma: transit locations, our parks, and our beloved downtown area. Staff have partnered with local organizations to identify some bin options that we feel will maintain the historic feel of the downtown while simultaneously improving access to recycling bins.

These options also had to meet criteria determined by staff and Recology to meet the functionality needs of those that will be servicing these new bins:

* Highest degree of durability
* Serviced through the side
* Lid that provides protection from the elements
* Not to exceed 35-gallon capacity
