Blended Learning
This course includes a mixture of online learning and face-to-face learning.

A series of self-guided online modules must be completed through our Online Learning Platform.

We recommend using a PC or laptop to complete our online modules for a better user experience.

Candidates have until the final day of the course to complete these.
Terms & Conditions
Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age on the first day of the course to be eligible to take part.

Candidates should be strong swimmers, especially in deep water, and able to swim 50m head-up front crawl in less than 60 seconds, side stroke, inverted breast stroke and perform a head-first surface dive to the deepest part of the pool.

On completion of this course, successful candidates will receive a Water Safety Ireland National Pool Lifeguard Level 2 qualification. Candidates who do not meet the requirements for this award may instead be allocated the Level 1 award (shallow water pool lifeguard) provided they meet those requirements.

Course directors reserve the right to prioritise or refuse admission, as well as to cancel or postpone the course.

Deposits will be refunded if the course is cancelled or, if it is postponed, deposits will be refunded to anyone who the new dates do not suit. Candidates who must withdraw from the course for unforeseen reasons may apply to have their deposits refunded up to 14 days before the beginning of the course. Deposits are otherwise non-refundable.
