Thank you for expressing interest to be a SPCA Volunteer!

The SPCA is committed to providing you an enriching and rewarding experience. To ensure consistency and proper training, each volunteer must commit to a minimum period of 4 months on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

For safety reasons, all new volunteers who work with animals must be 17 years old and above. A mandatory orientation briefing will be required for all volunteers. If you are below 17 years old, fret not as we have other opportunities for you! Please contact @spca.org.sg to find out more.

Volunteer opportunities *

Animal Shelter Helper (cleaning animal enclosures and surrounding areas). Commitment: At least once a month

Shelter & Reception phones (front line role manning the animals shelter office, answering queries from the public in person and by phone). Commitment: Once a week/fortnightly)

SPCA Merchandise shop (manning the SPCA merchandise shop). Commitment: preferably once a week, rostered

Merchandise sales (manning the SPCA merchandise stalls at various events and locations). Commitment: Ad Hoc

Dog Walker (walking the dogs). Commitment: Must be able to commit for at least 2 months, once a week.

Adoption Counsellor (requires firm, regular commitment. Good communication skills and basic knowledge of pet care is a must). Commitment: at least once a month.

Animal Ambassador (stationed at events/schools or in the animal shelter to answer pet care, adoption and SPCA related queries). Commitment: At least once a month

Animal Rescue Volunteer (must possess a valid Singapore driving licence). Commitment: once a week/fortnightly

Mailouts (perparing envelopes for mass mail outs, applying labels and inserting documents). Commitment: Ad Hoc

Others (Ad-hoc event volunteers/content writers/photographers etc)
