ABOUT US:
Eugene Darkroom Group is a 501(c)(3) non-profit in Eugene, Oregon, dedicated to preserving and promoting film photography. We’re committed to revitalizing the medium by investing in the photographic talent of people in the Eugene area, providing an equipped darkroom for analog photographers, and making education about the medium accessible to the community. Our darkroom and education program are located at Maude Kerns Art Center.

ABOUT THE EVENT:

We're hosting a Year End Art Market & Benefit Show at Alluvium on Saturday, December 3rd, with attractions such as live music, photo-based local art vendors, raffles and silent auction items, and more! All proceeds from our fundraisers go towards our darkroom and education programs, helping us continue to provide access and education in analog photo processes.

ABOUT VOLUNTEERING:
We are seeking help from both our members and community of supporters to help make this event a success. There are a variety of roles and areas of interest that you can contribute in, as well as a number of shifts that need to be filled. Please read the following details and fill out this form if you are interested and available to help.

VOLUNTEER ROLES & AREAS OF INTEREST:
Some areas we are looking for help in are set-up, clean up, break down, event photography, food and drink monitors, merchandise and art sales monitors, and more. More detailed descriptions about each of the volunteer roles can be found in the "Roles & Areas of Interest" section of this form. Please check ALL roles you'd be interested in filling in this section, and we'll get back to you closer to the event with role and shift assignments to make sure all areas are covered AND that no one takes on too much.

SHIFTS & AVAILABILTY:
In the "Shifts & Availability" section of this form, please indicate ALL available shifts that you would be available for. Shifts are broken up into one hour increments, and we will be keeping an eye out to make sure no one has taken on too much and ensuring that all volunteers have plenty of breaks and get to participate in the fun of the evening. We are asking that all volunteers arrive about 15 minutes before their scheduled shift to get a brief orientation from EDG event coordinators, so please keep that in mind when noting your availability.

What are you interested in helping out with at the event? Please check all boxes that apply to what you'd be interested in and/or willing to do. All volunteer areas will be broken up into one hour shifts to ensure you can participate and have some fun at the event. Checking multiple boxes doesn't mean you have to do everything; we'll be making sure no one takes on too much. We'll get back closer to the event with a shift schedule via email.

Set-Up - (shifts available SATURDAY 12/3, 3-5pm) *This role may include some heavy lifting* Help us with day of event set up, including but not limited to: setting up display tables, food & drink tables, admission table, setting up pop-up tents, stage set up, and more!

Admission - (shifts available SATURDAY 12/3, 5-10pm) We'll have an admission booth set up in the parking lot entrance. Admission is a suggested donation of $5-10 and free for BIPOC. Greet folks as they walk up, provide basic info about the event/activities, and collect their admissions fees via cash or credit card using a square card reader and device that EDG will provide.

EDG Merchandise Monitor - (shifts available SATURDAY 12/3, 5-10pm) *Available to Eugene Darkroom Group members only*We'll have all of our merchandise set up. The merch monitor will collect cash and credit payments for sales of EDG merchandise, copies of the photo book, as well as raffle tickets. All credit sales will be processed using a square card reader and device that EDG will provide.We'd also like you to promote bidding on the silent auction basket(s) which will be set up with the merch as well. There is potential for a little overlap between the EDG Merch monitor and the Artist Sales Monitor (see below).

Artist Sales Monitor - (shifts available SATURDAY 12/3, 5-10pm) Independent Artist vendors will have small stations set up in the dryspace. Each artist vendor has been asked to provide us with their venmo information/QR code which will be included in their individual displays. All individual items will be priced and labelled with the vendors name. The Artist Sales monitor will be responsible for helping shoppers make payments via venmo to the individual artists who provided the items they selected.

Drink & Food Monitor - (shifts available SATURDAY 12/3, 5-10pm) Food and drink will be set up at tables outside in the patio area near the dryspace. All food and beverages are free at this event (though we encourage donations from those who feel so inclined) The Food & Drink monitor should encourage people to take what they'd like and pour the beverages that need pouring. Additionally, while we definitely do not want to limit anyone's intake, we'd appreciate the Food & Drink monitor being somewhat aware of consumption levels, but only if it looks like someone is having a bad time :(

Analog Photobooth Monitor - (shifts available SATURDAY 12/3, 5-10pm) *Available to Eugene Darkroom Group members only* We'll be hosting an analog photobooth and taking both instant photos and medium format photos for attendees. The Photobooth Monitor should be familiar enough with our set up to answer basic questions about the film process.

Event Photographer - (shifts available SATURDAY 12/3, 5-10pm) Silly as it may seem, this collective of photographers needs some assistance with documenting the event. We're looking for someone to take photographs for newsletters and social media. Phone photos are most necessary but we'd love some shot with a DSLR if you've got one.

Clean Up - (shifts available SATURDAY 12/3, 5-10pm) Help us keep the event space clean throughout the night! We may also ask this person for assistance in the event that we need to do any set-up reconfigurations throughout the evening

Break-Down - (shifts available SATURDAY 12/3, 10-11pm) Help us get everything broken down, cleaned up, and put back in its proper home before we lock up and head home (or to the after party!)
