We know that in past years many of you have loved our “Swim the Oregon Coast” challenge for lap swimmers.  Since the Aquatic Center is currently closed due to COVID-19, this year’s challenge will be a little different.   For this year’s challenge we encourage you to get out and recreate in any body of water-- swimming in the river, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, etc.  Any form of water exercise counts for points!

1 hour of water exercise=1 point

The challenge will run July 1st-31st

All ages are welcome to participate

The top 3 winners get prizes!  1st place ($20 gift card), 2nd place ($15 gift card), 3rd place ($10 gift card)

***Extra points for people who take pictures of themselves completing the challenge and post them on Facebook.  Be sure to tag @NewportParksandRec in order to get the extra points!***

You will be required to submit your water exercise hours each week.  A form to submit your hours will be emailed to you after you register.

If you are registering multiple members of your household, please fill out a separate registration form for each member.
