Students, with approval of the Chair of the Department of Performing Arts, will be granted card swipe access to Katzen 135. The music lab may be used during open lab hours. The lab may not be used when a class is in session, the University is officially closed and/or events preclude access. Open lab hours and class schedules will be posted on the board outside of room 135. Access is granted on a semester basis and will expire after the end of semester finals.
Students may gain access by swiping an AU ID into the card reader. All access must be through the swipe reader. Students provided with access will not leave the door propped open or allow non-approved individuals into the lab. Multiple students may use the room, but each must swipe in. Due to the nature of the lab space, group rehearsals will not usually be permitted.
In the event that the building is locked, students must use their AU ID card to swipe into the main doors or the elevators.
During university or private events at the Katzen Arts Center, students must be considerate of university functions and conduct themselves in a responsible manner. This includes walking around, not through, an event and following the instructions of facility event staff.
Students will properly use the computers and support equipment in Katzen 135. Equipment, software, hardware should not be removed, altered or otherwise changed in any manner. No food or drink is allowed in the computer lab. Any and all equipment, software, hardware issues are to be reported immediately to the Katzen Computer/Audio Coordinator at x3929.
