As you prepare your submission for the Birmingham Sister Cities Young Artists and Authors Showcase, sign up to meet 1-on-1 with two mentors who will provide expert guidance tailored to you:

1) Creative Mentor Meeting

Meet with an experienced artist, photographer, musician or writer who will advise you on technique, best practices, and innovating within your chosen submission category (Classic Art, Digital Art, Photography, Music, Writing, Poetry). They will provide feedback and guidance to strengthen your submission piece.

2) Thematic Mentor Meeting

Meet with an expert on this year's showcase theme - "ClimateScape: Resilient Cities for Tomorrow's Climate." They will help you brainstorm ideas for interpreting the theme and provide feedback as you write the required essay explaining how your art piece ties to envisioning sustainable, resilient cities of the future.

These optional 30-minute video calls will allow you to get personalized advice from professionals as you develop a compelling, competitive submission that brings your unique perspective on urban resilience.
