The LaSalle Catholic Ex Corde Ecclesia award is given annually to an individual, family or group who has poured his/her/their time, talent, and treasure into LaSalle Catholic to strengthen and sustain it in its mission. Eligible candidates may be from the parishes, school families, staff, alumni, or any supporters of LaSalle Catholic whose contributions to the school merit this distinguished recognition.
In the summer of 1990, Saint Pope John Paul II published an apostolic constitution entitled Ex Corde Ecclesia, which describes Catholic schools as coming ex corde ecclesia, or out of the heart of the Church. St. John Paul II clearly stated the crucial nature of Catholic schools in the successful mission of the Church. With this in mind, and while recognizing that some individuals truly pour their own gifts out of their own hearts back into LaSalle Catholic, we are thankful to be able to honor individuals (and groups) that model Christ's love through their service to LaSalle Catholic.
Nominations may come from any school family, staff, or parishioners using the form provided. Once a candidate is nominated, s/he will be considered for future recognition every year thereafter, though multiple nominations are welcome. There is no limit to the number of nominations that an individual can make. The recipient of this award will be honored at the LaSalle Catholic Gala on February 2, 2024.
Nominations are due by 12:00 pm, December 15th, 2023. Thank you!
