Teen Bookmark Designer
If you're artistic, have great graphic design skills, and/or you want to showcase a cause that's important to you, you can help us out by designing and creating bookmarks for the Teen Section! Teens in grades 6-12 are welcome to apply. All designers will receive volunteer hours for their work sketching or drafting designs, finalizing their product, and preparing the bookmarks for printing.

How does designing bookmarks help the Library? Bookmarks are a huge part of reading! People are always looking for new designs to mark their place in books. We want to provide these readers with the option of some locally created bookmarks! By having teens design bookmarks, Medford readers will be able to enjoy local artwork while they read their way through their book piles! Bookmarks are also a great way of spreading information. They can contain book recommendations, biographies, activism steps, links to resources, and more. Designing a bookmark can have a longer lasting impact than you might think!

While filling out this application, we ask that you use your own personal email address for 2 reasons:
1) school emails often have restrictions that prevent communications from outside your school network and
2) being a library volunteer allows you to build work and life experience. An important part of this skillset includes communication and managing your own time responsibly.

To sign up, please fill out this form and we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your topic and due date. If you have any questions, contact Nicole in the Teen Section of the Library: nperrault@minlib.net or 781-475-5735.
