Bridges Chamber Orchestra

Directed by Esteban Hernández Parra and Maggie Olivo, Chamber welcomes elementary schoolers and middle school string players. Violinists are expected to know the two octave G Major scale (low 2's), Violists and cellists- the two octave C Major scale and Bass players-one octave D Major scale. All players should have basic note reading skills and have played for at least one full year. High schoolers are welcome as high school ambassadors. There is no official audition.

Bridges Philharmonic Orchestra

Directed by Marissa Guarriello, Philharmonic is an auditioned full orchestra for middle and high school string, woodwind, brass, harp and/or percussionists. String players should know 2-3 octave scales with shifting, and/or be at least at a Suzuki Book 4 (or equivalent). Woodwind and brass players should be able to play a full chromatic scale.

Programs offered by Bridges Musical Arts Youth Organization are designed to be supplemental to school music programs. Our orchestra members participate in their school music programs whenever those are offered, and are encouraged to take advantage of a wide range of school musical activities.
