Skills training dates: November 21 & 22, 2020
Online class: On your own schedule, finish by November 20
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, triage and disaster medical operations.
Using the training learned in the classroom and during CERT exercises, members will be better prepared to take care of themselves, their families and their community following an emergency event. In addition, CERT members will be able to assist first responders in many ways to help the community deal with the emergency.
The course is FREE, and you will receive a CERT backpack at the two-day skills training.
This free training includes online / independent study and two days of practical skills training and an emergency simulation exercise.
Once we confirm your registration, you may start the program immediately.
