Hands Land Professional Development, Workshop, or Presentation

We are dedicated to supporting educators, community members, and families in their language play journeys through a range of professional development, workshop, and presentation offerings.

Our professional development program is designed to provide teachers with the tools and strategies needed to create an engaging and interactive learning environment that fosters language play in signed language. This includes research-based teaching methods, hands-on practice with our Hands Land curriculum, and opportunities for personalized coaching and support.

Our workshops provide a unique opportunity for community members and families to connect with our team of experienced educators and consultants, share personal stories, and engage in interactive activities that foster learning, creativity, and connection. We'll discuss our journeys growing up as deaf individuals, being parents of deaf children, becoming teachers of the deaf, and currently, being researchers of deaf education. Participants will also have the opportunity to create new jingles and explore the power of sign language rhyme and rhythm.

Our presentations are tailored to meet the needs of your conference or meeting. We offer an engaging look at the power of language play in promoting language development in deaf children. We can also provide a deep dive into our research and methodology, sharing insights and best practices for incorporating language play into your educational or community setting.
