Come join us and run on the Cross Country middle school course.  All students that will be in grades K-5 in the fall of 2023 are invited.  We are hosting two races this year.  One at each school.  The Parker race will cover  a 1 mile portion of the middle school cross country course at Parker Middle school and the Highlander Way race will cover 1 mile of the high school/middle school course at Highlander Way.  The course has a  painted line to help get you to the finish.  The top boys and top girls will receive medals (these numbers may be adjusted depending on the number of registrants).   Coach Lounds (Highlander Way) and  Coach McCall (Parker) would love to have you come out and experience what a Cross Country race is all about.  Feel free to contact Coach Lounds - loundsj@howellschools.com or Coach McCall - mccalld@howellschools.com.  We are both teachers at Howell High School.  Elementary runners will be responsible for their own transportation to the race locations.  The Parker race will take place on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023.  The Highlander Way race will take place on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023.  The girls races will start at 5:30 and the boys races will begin at 5:45 PM.  Runners will be allowed to warm up on the course at 5:10 - 5:20 pm.   DEPENDING ON REGISTRATION NUMBERS WE MAY CREATE ADDITIONAL RACE DIVISIONS.  Students may be photographed during the event.
