Register below to attend Paste Your Place on Saturday 2 July, 11am - 3pm at the Former Transport Depot, Kingston.
Join local paste-up artists Fred and Kate for a day of photography and pop-up street art, visualising what we love most in our public spaces. No prior photography or paste-up skills required!
About the Day:
Meet Fred and Kate at the Former Transport Depot, Kingston at 11am to chat about our public spaces, and our love/hate relationship with them. What makes a great space to you? What spaces do you avoid? We'll get talking about the pop-up mural we'll make, planning a rad composition.
Then, we'll hit the streets as a group and photograph the Kingston area.
Back at HQ, we'll select and print our images, getting messy and pasting them up to form a large scale pop-up mural of our public spaces as we envisage them. Ta daaa!
The next day - this mural will be on show at the Bus Depot Markets for all to see - and add to! We'll set up a portrait booth, and people can add their faces onto your mural. Attendance at the Bus Depot Markets not required - but encouraged, it'll be fun!
What to bring on Saturday:
- Smartphone with camera, charger
- Laptop (Not essential, but helpful)
- Lunch
- Warm clothes, we'll be hitting the streets to photograph, rain hail or shine.
You'll receive an email reminder with all of the above info a few days prior to the event.
