In the absence of either a Secretary or Treasurer, the positions will have combined responsibility and become the Secretary-Treasurer.

According to the Kansas District 2021 - 2022 Bylaws the responsibilities of the Kansas District Board organized by position are the following |

General |
- Sign an Acknowledgement of Commitment Form and a Service and Communication Agreement.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities as specified in the Circle K International Bylaws and Policy Code, the current form of the District Bylaws and Policy Code, and the Kiwanis District Procedures pertaining to the operation of the Circle K District of Kansas.
- Attend the Training Conference/Transitional Meetings, District Convention, Fall Event, the Circle K International convention, the Kiwanis District Convention, the Key Club District Convention, and all duly called meetings of the District Board of Officers. The District Administrator and the District Governor must approve any absence.
- Maintain files with proper documentation for transition and submit to the position-elect by the new board training conference.
- Assist Club counterparts as necessary.
- Establish communication with Kiwanis Family counterparts within the District.
- Submit a board report at District Board meetings when requested by the Governor or any of the District Administrators.
- Work to strengthen the presence of Kansas CKI within all college and university campuses within the District, as well as within the Kiwanis Family.
- Also perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Governor or the Board of Officers.
