Orange County Places, Voices, and Stories 2023
Join us at places around Orange County to learn about the lesser-known histories and stories of our diverse community. This is a no-cost workshop and PK-12 educators that attend will receive free books and guidance on how to bring these histories and stories to their students.  

Advancement credits are available through UC Irvine (email gilbertn@uci.edu for more information about credits).

Join us for a walking tour of Santa Ana and learn about its diverse history with an ethic studies lens. 

Jan 31 - Orange County: A Literary Field Guide | 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 p.m. on Zoom
Join us for a literary journey through Southern California's storied county. Hear from diverse authors the stories they tell about Orange County and why.

Feb 18 -  Mapping OC's Past, Present, and Future | 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. @ CSU Fullerton Library
Join us to learn how to use free online mapping software to explore Orange County and links to primary resources.

Feb 28 - Oral Histories of OC's Women Activists | 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 p.m. on Zoom
Join us to learn about the resources available to PK-12 educators at the Lawrence de Graaf Center for Oral and Public History, with a focus on Orange County's women activists.
