St. Francis Area Schools Temporary Distance Learning Meals for students learning from home due to COVID-19 school district related closures.
St. Francis Area Schools participates in the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) recently extended COVID-19 meal program to provide free meals to students enrolled in the district. Parents can register students temporarily placed into distance learning for a cold, wrapped, ready-to-eat bundled grab-and-go style breakfast/lunch meals; milk included. Temporary Distance Learning meals will come to an end when your student’s classroom resumes in-person learning.
Once registration is confirmed, meal bundles can be picked up daily at your student’s school main office, 10:30–11:30 a.m. Please provide ID when picking up. Even though the meals are free, there is a cost of $6.35 to the district for meals not picked up. Parents are responsible to notify the kitchen by 9:00 a.m. if they are unable to pick up their student’s meals. If you miss one meal pickup without a cancellation call, you will be removed from the list and need to re-register. This is due to nationwide food shortages and Nutrition Services’ effort to eliminate unnecessary food waste.

NOTE: When St. Francis Area Schools is canceled because of inclement weather or an emergency, NO meals will be available for pickup.
You will receive a confirmation email from Nutrition Services when your student is enrolled.
