Big Science Competition

The Big Science Competition is being held this year on 6th May for Year 8 pupils.

A 50-minute, online multiple-choice competition, the Big Science Competition is one of the biggest international science competitions held in schools. The focus is on how students can use their science knowledge and critical thinking skills to solve problems.This is run in a  similar format to the ICAS tests. Pupils complete the competition online, so will need a device.

Students who sit the Big Science Competition are assessed against the outcomes for the Australian Curriculum – Science, (very similar to New Zealand).

The cost of sitting this exam is $12. 

Pupils gaining a distinction or higher will receive a Science badge.

Completion of the Google form and payment are to be made to the school bank account by Wednesday 3rd May.
