MARE Adoption 101: Where to Start
~A training for individuals who want to learn the steps to the adoption process and are interested in adopting a waiting youth through the Michigan foster care system.~ This is not an adoption orientation.
The MARE Adoption Navigators will be hosting and providing training to answer some of the common questions surrounding adopting a waiting youth through the Michigan foster care system. These questions will include understanding foster care vs. adoption, understanding the adoption approval process, how to navigate the MARE process of inquiring, and other helpful resources. This training is geared towards those families who are just starting the adoption process/in the beginning stages of starting the process. There will also be a time for Q & A. Come and enjoy learning more about adoption while in the comfort of your home.
If you are approved for adoption, then I suggest attending our next Waiting Family Forum training instead of this training.
