Welcome to the Office of Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell's Racial Justice Learning Exchange (RJLE) Book Club. The RJLE Book Club is open to all who are interested in connecting through literature with fellow residents on learning and discussing strategies for advancing racial justice.
This year to help enhance accountability and build a strong community environment, the RJLE Book Club will be putting together an email list for anyone interested in receiving the latest updates and information on all RJLE Book Club events.
Every quarter, the RJLE Book Club meetings will be held virtually and/or in-person at a County Library branch within the 2nd Supervisorial District. You are not required to attend every meeting.
The selected book for each quarter will align with the RJLE monthly events, and Book Club discussions will be co-hosted with Team Mitchell and community partners. Team Mitchell will help identify libraries, community-owned bookstores, or universities that carry the selected reading.
You can join the RJLE Book Club year-round and opt-out of receiving email updates at any time.
