What to Expect
This class is a women's-only course and it will be led by only female instructors . There will be an hour of classroom instruction that will cover topics such as safety, stance, grip, and carry laws. Live fire will follow the classroom instruction. Two hours of time will be devoted to live fire which will cover topics such as sight picture, trigger squeeze, and safe reloading (3 hours total). There are nine spots available and this will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone who signs up and does not get a spot, will be notified by email or text. The poll will close after the spots are filled. Should anyone cancel prior to the day of the course, you will receive an email notifying you of the vacancy. Don't worry there will be plenty of courses in the future to participate in if you are unable to attend this course.
There will be live firing of weapons during this course so safety will be paramount. This will take place at an outdoor range so please dress accordingly. You will need to bring eye protection (prescription glasses count) and ear protection. Students are encouraged to bring their own firearm and ammunition for this course. However, there will be an option to rent a firearm for a small fee. The goal of this course is to introduce women to shooting, no matter a student's skill set. This course is meant to break down barriers and hesitancies that women may face when entering the firearms world. This course is meant to provide a safe and inclusive environment for learning about shooting and weapons manipulation.
