Florida Community Innovation (FCI) conducts groundbreaking work connecting Florida’s citizens with trusted information and resources to navigate challenging times. We empower young innovators to build scalable social services technology for their communities. We are a network of young professional volunteers and envision a Florida where everyone has equal access to trusted information, critical services, and rewarding careers.
The work produced by FCI is driven significantly by our undergraduate interns, who engage in research, create articles/blog posts, maintain our website, and contribute to the development of the Florida Resource Map. By providing your time and guidance you can help them develop their skills and broaden their understanding of careers.
Regarding time commitments, we expect regular check-ins with interns (e.g., every two weeks) where you can discuss whatever topics you desire. These meetings may involve multiple interns on a one-time basis or more. During these interactions, you can provide career advice, offer guidance about classes, discuss networking opportunities, and assist them in developing their own projects, among other things.
