To protect our members’ safety and wellbeing, and clearly lay out the rules for behavior and provide the groundwork for a preemptive warning, the World Beyond War Youth Network (WBWYN) has created a Code of Conduct. This provides clear guidance and outlines of conduct that are considered to be followed strictly by the members. If you fail to adhere to any of the provisions set out in this document you can face disciplinary action, dismissal or even legal action.

You are obliged to read and fully understand the content of the document. If you have any questions please ask the Human Resource team/ manager/ WBWYN staff for guidance.

As a member of the World Beyond War Youth Network, you agree to:

1. Act with integrity and high ethical standards in your personal and professional life. WBWYN members are expected to always act within the laws of the country, respect International Human Rights and standards of ethical conduct, and act with honesty and fairness.
2. Deal fairly with others and treat them and their occupations with respect and dignity, without harassment, victimization or discrimination inside or outside of the network. In the WBWYN, we have members from different countries, contexts, cultures, ethnicities and religions. Respect all people equally.
3. Respect the confidentiality of all information obtained through your participation as a member. Members must not discuss or divulge personal information about participants and their families to others.This means that posting of member names, meeting photos or webinars will not be allowed without the consent of the WBWYN members who appear in them.
4. Help maintain a harassment-free environment in all WBWYN meetings, events, and activities by reporting suspected harassment and respecting the privacy and boundaries of others.
5. Avoid discrimination, illegal activities, bullying and abuse (physical, sexual or verbal), intimidation, humiliation, shaming or exploitation, or any activities that infringe the rights of others or reflect poorly on the WBWYN.
6. Engage in and support nonviolent efforts to end war and war preparations and to create a just and sustainable peace.
