Northern Mosaic Network contain a suite of workshops and trainings that we hope will be facilitated all over the NWT. There are workshops specifically for sectors within our society (ex. healthcare), the 2SLGBTQIPA+ identities, how to support 2SLGBTQIPA+ children and teens, and what it means to be an ally to the 2SLGBTQIPA+ community. These materials were developed with 2SLGBTQIPA+ and Indigenous staff, community consultation and research! As we shift to de-centralizing our work and truly being territorially focused, we are aiming to hire workshop facilitators in every NWT region on an as-needed basis.

How does this work?

You bring your lived experience, passion for the 2SLGBTQIPA+ community and capacity to facilitate. We provide you with training, materials and many skills and pointers to help make you feel like a confident, knowledgeable facilitator. When requests for training come in, we reach out to our team in that region and offer the opportunity to facilitate. Facilitators will receive a percentage of the cost of training, as well as have travel and accommodations. As we are still developing the structure for payment, we will discuss this during the interview process in greater detail.

Aside from facilitation, there will be an optional monthly group call with other facilitators across the NWT to answer FAQs, strategize for situations that may have come up during the trainings, and provide general support!

Requirements

You will be asked to provide a short resume with any relevant experience and to showcase your skills. There will be an interview process and we will communicate the process further after that.

Priority Hiring

The Northern Mosaic Network has historically prioritized job candidates who are 2SLGBTQIPA+, 30 or under, are Black, Indigenous or People of Global Majority, and/or self-identify as living with a disability. It is very important to us to host a team that carries intersectional identities and to provide opportunities to our 2SLGBTQIPA+ community members.
