The Walk

Please arrive at the Astrotrek Building near the Shuttle no later than 10:45.  We will launch the walk there and walk through the park at a pace safe enough for our patients.  When we get to the other end, we will enter the Davidson Building.  Patients will use the elevator to reach the upper floor.  We ask all other participants to wait under the Saturn V engines until everyone is there.  Then, we will walk under the Saturn V rocket to he Moon area at the end of the building for a picture.

After the picture, will make the return trip back to the Astrotrek building for lunch, comments from our sponsors, and goody bags.

Myositis affects muscles, heart and lungs causing walking to be difficult for some.  Please be respectful of the patients and maintain a pace that they can tolerate.  We will stop at various points to share Myositis facts to give the patients a moment to catch their breathe and rest their muscles.  Thank you in advance for respecting the patients and staying with them one small step at a time during the entire walk.

Please refer to the map below for the path from launch to the moon.
