The E-SEA Project - Application Form
The English O'clock in the SEA Project or "The E-SEA Project" for short is an educational platform for the English language learners who are enthusiastic in enhancing their proficiency. 

The E-SEA Project gathers 40 university students from the Southeast Asia region to attend 10 meetings (Once a week, July - August). During these meetings, participants will learn about members from other nations while watching and discussing selected films. Participants will access a safe and non-judgemental space to practice their English and learn from each other. 

This project is a fruition from the YSEALI Regional Workshop 2023: Innovating International Higher Education in Hanoi (May 2023). It is under the guidance of the National Economics University (NEU), Vietnam. The NEU is the implementing partner of the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi for the YSEALI Regional Workshop 2023.

Participants who commit throughout the program and show an active engagement will receive a certificate from the National Economics University (NEU), Vietnam.

Eligibility Criteria:
  1. Be a citizen of the 10 ASEAN Member States and Timor Leste
  2. Be between the ages of 18-25 years old 
  3. Be enrolled in a university in the 10 ASEAN Member States and Timor Leste
  4. Be able to report your English Test Score
  5. Be able to attend all 10 meetings, and participate actively on the Discord platform (internet subsidy is provided on needs-basis)
Upon selection, participants are required to:
  • commit throughout the entire program from 22nd July to 31st August 2023
  • actively participate in the discussion 
  • be subjected to the project's code of conduct
Selection criteria: 
  • Educational Background
  • Commitment Level
  • Interests in the selected film themes 
  • English level - participants need to score at least 70% or above
